"There is always the pain of consequences."

I've been thinking again today and I realised that for the past few weeks, I have been staring at my mother's face 24/7. Anyway, that is beside the point. The point is that I was suddenly wondering why I should live as a good girl.

See, I am a young'un. Young'un don't usually think so much about what they do. They do reckless things and get into trouble and enjoy life because that's what young'uns so. I don't think I do much of these things. In fact, I think I'm living my life too... Is the word pristine? I don't get into trouble much. Granted, I don't want to get into any trouble. There are always consequences to pay. But what if I just want to have fun? Fun usually equals trouble. I only live once so I should make the most out of my young life right?

What if the world really ended in 2012? Not that I believe in that. Ted Mosby narrates HIMYM from 2030 so we'll certainly get pass 2012. But what if? There's always this big question mark there. What if it really ended or I died tmr? I'll definitely regret not living to the hilt. I'll definitely also regret that I hadn't done anything crazy in my life. I feel like I've been, as Kelly Clarkson croons, "living life on the safe side so I won't get hurt".

I hate consequences, you know that? I was reading Searching For Shangri-la by Laurence Brahm and the Tibetan monk he met in Lhasa talked about consequences. He said that we're all spoiling the Earth because we want instant gratification. People do not care about the fact that they might come back and live on this Earth. They do not believe in reincarnation so they build factories and pollute the Earth. Shangri-La is said to be found in the Qinghai-Tibetan plateau because the people of the place take care to not spoil the Earth. That way, everyone can have a peaceful and tranquil environment, making it Shangri-La. By the way, the author was trying to find Shangri-La and Lhasa was his first stop.

I guess, in the same note, that's why I shouldn't do too many crazy things. I do believe in karma and reincarnation. Karma accumulates.

I haven't had a conclusion yet though. I haven't found what I want to hear yet though.
