1. Be a geek, no matter what.

Guess what! I went Wiki surfing and I saw some really cool stuff.

I think I started with xkcd and I was brought to the page on the Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything, Base 13 and other stuff like...

Towel Day where people commemorate the author of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (it brings back quite a bit of memories and it was quite an awesomely mindscrewing book).

Geek Pride Day where people commemorate premier of the first Star Wars movie in 1977 (I don't understand why Star Wars is such a geeky must-do! Star Wars doesn't particularly interest me and I have no intend to sit down and finish the whole saga?).

And the most imba of all... Wait for it...

Pi, now complete with 27 decimal places. You'll never be rational again!

Pi Day! Hahaha, I guess some Crescentians would alr know of its existence. Especially those taught by Mr Lee cause he mentioned that 14th of March is Pi Day (3/14). But did you know that there are different variations of Pi Day? For countries that use the MM/DD/YYYY format, Pi Day is on 14th of March. For countries that use the DD/MM/YYYY format, Pi Day is on the 22th of July (22/7). There's even a Chinese variation on Pi Day which is on December 21, 1:13 p.m.: The 355th day of the year (December 20 in leap years), celebrated at 1:13 for the Chinese approximation 355/113. People even celebrate Pi Minute and Pi Second.

So, how's that for a bored worker in the office? I read cool stuff. For those who think this is too geeky, here's something from the Basic Rights and Responsibilities of Geeks:
Rights:
  1. The right to be even geekier.
  2. The right to not leave your house.
  3. The right to not have a significant other and to be a virgin.
  4. The right to not like football or any other sport.
  5. The right to associate with other nerds.
  6. The right to have few friends (or none at all).
  7. The right to have all the geeky friends that you want.
  8. The right to not be "in-style."
  9. The right to be overweight and have poor eyesight.
  10. The right to show off your geekiness.
  11. The right to take over the world.
Responsibilities:
  1. Be a geek, no matter what.
  2. Try to be nerdier than anyone else.
  3. If there is a discussion about something geeky, you must give your opinion.
  4. Save any and all geeky things you have.
  5. Do everything you can to show off your geeky stuff as though it were a "museum of geekiness."
  6. Don't be a generalized geek. You must specialize in something.
  7. Attend every nerdy movie on opening night and buy every geeky book before anyone else.
  8. Wait in line on every opening night. If you can go in costume or at least with a related T-shirt, all the better.
  9. Don't waste your time on anything not related to geekdom.
  10. Befriend any person or persons bearing any physical similarities to comic book or sci-fi figures.
  11. Try to take over the world!

On a side note, I am really proud of myself cause I made quite a lot of changes to the original blogskin and I figured them out without anyone's help! Of course, I did some googling for some problems but the point it I did it without physically asking anyone. Heheheh. And yes, I am so proud of my new HTML skills that I did quite a bit of this post in HTML. 8-|
