I suck,
Lollipops.Speaking of which reminds me of Mr Ben Soh(?)'s joke about pencils poking into your eyes. (No Jo, my eyeballs aren't gonna turn into lollipops. Hahaha.) That joke spelled the end of our P.E. lecture, somewhat. The P.E. teachers are certainly an interesting mix. The week has been hectic, full of lectures that I couldn't understand and couldn't stay up in. It's the usuals, as I might say. School's merely an issue of attendance? I guess for certain people. I mean, there certainly a bunch of kids out there that simply go to school for the sake of their attendance and saving the trouble of arguing with their parents. I suppose a life of escaping - teachers and the discipline committee - certainly has its appeal to them. Then there's another bunch of like minded kids like me. We don't go to school for the sake of attendance. We go to school to learn (and eventually get good grades and subsequently get good, high paying jobs). But, with the pile of information that rushes to get into your brain, the skull's cracking, the brain's bursting. Eventually, nothing gets in. At that point in time, you wonder why you're in school when nothing's going to stay. It's akin to skipping school - you don't get new knowledge. Opportunity cost, I might say. An implicit opportunity cost. Friday saw me catching up with my pals while yesterday looked at Branden and Antony strumming their way through. You guessed it - zero progress on homework. Hahaha, I can't believe I prefer Branden's rendition of Your Guardian Angel to the original one by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. Linghong and I played in the nursery. I loved the phone manymany. We didn't have a playroom then, did we? Lollipops - How I wish I am green again. genevieve ♥ 0 comments |
