Sieze the day or die regreting.
I watched Sweeney Todd today. The blood looked utterly fake, like poster paint. I've got to admit that the way it was filmed was refreshing. I've never quite seen any director directed any movie in such a fashion. (I want to watch his other movies like Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhand!) The entire movie had an old-ish hint to it. I thought I was watching some old movie. It was a dark movie, literally and figuratively. The end was kind of horrid, I guess. Loved how Helena Bonham Carter looked. I think she's my new fave. As in, that type of style. Depp was convincing. Carter too. No, Carter was totally cool. :D I have a kuku pile of homework laid on the table, waiting feebly on the table to be touched by my lovelyniceprettyoneofakindgolden hands. I bought a nice, vintage looking schedule book. Donald Duck's quite alright, I guess, but I liked the Nightmare Before Christmas one better! (Note: Another of Tim Burton's work.) Linghong wouldn't let me buy one that's the same as hers. ): Cheryl Chen put a tear (as in cry tear, not paper tear) in my eye. She blogged about me. http://cookiecrumblies.blogspot.com/ Highlight of the day: The scar under my chin's getting flatter! :DD I guess the 2 $30 injections were worth it afterall :)) And like I've told Gen, this post is going to be about her. Genevieve Gui Si Xiao, 16. (Not putting 17. May we be sweet 16 forever!) I first met Gen in 3G1, on the first day of year 2006. To be honest, I had a slightly bad impression of Gen, thanks to what Jessica Foong told me about her: irresponsible, immature, and sometimes lackadaisical. Carrying all those words in my head, I wondered how I'd respond to her. It was a bit awkward at first. Because my impressions of her were completely different to what Jessica had of her. I was confused, bewildered. Is this the same Gen Jessica was describing to me? As 2 years slowly passed, I realised that my judgement of Gen was more accurate. Gen was not like anything Jessica had thought of her. Maybe immature and lackadaisical at times. But more often than not, she was a kind, sweet, bubbly and cheerful IT rep. Although she was not very good at her job(Chen lao shi even said so!), she was definitely a good friend. We'd laugh together everyday. And it was only during stressful exam periods like the Prelims and O Levels that we became closer and closer. So close, sometimes I wish I'd known her earlier. We were so close, we probably wrote the same thing for all our exam scripts, since we both got the same results for Prelims and Os! Gen represented our class in the 2007 Ms Crescentian. While waiting at the lobby, I wondered how Gen would look like. Will she be pretty? Or look dull? She surprised me. She was not what I had expected her to be; she was more. All dolled up in a gold dress and a BIG BOW(HAHAHAHA), her bunned up raven hair only complimented her flawless complexion. I want to have a mean moment here: She wore a gold dress - the dress that 4 other girls wore. The only nice part was probably her hair, which came out in after a while when she was called up to the stage. Her face was caked up in a thick layer of powder, and the mascara did nothing but highlight her eyes and make her look like a 2D cartoon figure. HAHAHAHAHA. Okay, I'm digressing. Gen's gooing to kill me. Our pretty Gen, our pride and joy! She did her best and won the Third Placing. Her honest answers impressed the judges, and her attractive smile only gave her extra marks on the marksheet. Gen! Our pride and joy! The results came and went. And now we're all seperated in different JCs. But, Gen and I still talk frequently via msn. And we remain the best of friends to the very end. Gen! I got a favour to ask of you! Will you be my bridesmaid in years to come? Because without you, I won't know how to handle tht big day. You are my pillar of strength and support! Omg, I sound like a lesbian in this post. People! I'm 100% straight! Not lesbian! 11:24 PM I am loved. |
